Penne è un comune italiano di 11 769 abitanti nella provincia di Pescara. Di origini pre-romane, sorge in una zona la cui frequentazione da parte dell’uomo risale almeno al Neolitico medio e fu l’antica capitale della popolazione italica dei Vestini.
Penne is a town of 11.769 inhabitants located in the centre of Abruzzo. Of pre-roman origins, it rises in an area whose frequentation by man dates back at least to the Middle Neolithic and was the ancients capital of the Italic population of the Vestini ( form Vesta, the goddess of family).
